Why Choose AMG

Ropes Course: Equipment

AMG only uses the highest quality equipment for all of our ropes course and zip line operation. We build our course with additional safety options built in and over engineer our elements to handle volume use with a minimum of maintenance.

Program Safety Equipment

BD Vario Speed
At AMG we firmly believe in planning and operating above the industry standard. We are proud to offer a wide range of program equipment that is perfect for program or commercial use, easy to use, safe, and fun!

BD Half Dome

Black Diamond and Petzl are two of our primary equipment providers. These providers' testing regiments are amongst the highest in the industry. We use this equipment for all of our ropes courses applications as well as for our other expeditions and programs world wide!

Here are a few examples of where AMG standards lead the industry:

BD Rocklock Screwgate
Personal Protection Tether
While multiple organizations allow the use of one locking carabineer as the connection to a climbing rope or a personal tether AMG utilizes two carabineers, or a knot, in the same application. The carabineers are placed with opposed gates to assure that there is not any possibility of an inadvertent opening.

7x19 Wire Rope
Double Cable Zip Lines
Now widely accepted as the industry standard for cruise line tours worldwide, AMG was the first to use a double cable system for all zip line and safety cables in the courses we have built and operate.

Petzl GriGri
Gri Gris
AMG uses Gri Gris for many belay applications. The auto locking brake mechanism provides an additional factor of safety that non-locking traditional belay devices do not.

Belay Anchor
Belay Anchors
Every AMG designed belay point has an anchor for the belayer. It does not matter if the belayer is on the ground or 80-feet in the air. This standard guarantees that belayers will never move further than the distance allowed by the tether to the anchor.
